President Julius Maada Bio has selected Major Retired Abdul Kargbo to assume the role of Chief of Staff for the Executive Office of the President at State House, Freetown.
The newly appointed Chief of Staff will bring a wealth of experience to the management of the Executive Office, facilitating the efficient delivery of the President's daily governance-related initiatives.
President Bio, in announcing the appointment of Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo, remarked, "I am content to name Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo to this position. With his extensive expertise and esteemed reputation, Major Rtd. Kargbo will furnish technical and operational backing to the Front Office. This will encompass upholding strategic alignment and bolstering adherence to standards of compliance and accountability."
Expressing his appreciation for the appointment, Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo conveyed, "I am honoured, motivated, and thankful to His Excellency President Bio for extending this opportunity to me to continue my service to Sierra Leone in this capacity. I eagerly anticipate leveraging my experience and ingenuity to bolster the President in advancing his vision for national development to the utmost of my capabilities."
Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo, a retired Major from the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, formerly held the position of Executive Director of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
He boasts an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Warwick, UK, along with an LLM in International Business Law from Birmingham City University, UK, and an MA in Human Rights, Globalization, and Justice from the University of Keele, UK.
