The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) administration has issued a cautionary notice to the general populace regarding fraudulent activities related to Sewa Grounds payments.
In a statement disseminated on social media, NASSIT warned the public about certain individuals falsely posing as representatives of the Trust and illicitly accepting payments from citizens in exchange for securing a spot at the Sewa Grounds Market.
The Trust emphasized, "We have become aware of reports regarding individuals or a collective engaging in the collection of funds from unsuspecting traders and the public, purportedly for reserving space at the Sewa Grounds Market."
NASSIT firmly asserted that its official mandate does not involve authorizing any individual to gather payments from traders for market space.
"The public should be aware that NASSIT has not granted any authority for anyone to request payments from traders for access to the Sewa Grounds Market," they cautioned.
Furthermore, NASSIT cautioned that individuals who make payments to these unauthorized entities do so at their own risk and cannot hold the Trust accountable.
"We strongly advise against engaging in transactions with these unscrupulous individuals in relation to the Sewa Grounds market, as any such dealings will be solely at your own peril," they emphasized.
In conclusion, NASSIT urged the public to promptly report any person or group involved in such deceptive activities to the nearest NASSIT office or local law enforcement.
"The management earnestly requests the public to report any such unethical individuals or groups to the closest NASSIT office or Police Station," they concluded.
