CAF Approves Southern Arena to Host Another Champions League Match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has granted Bo Rangers another approval to host Algerian Club CR Belouizdad at the Southern Arena. The Southern Arena initially received CAF's approval to host a Champions League match when Bo Rangers hosted Liberia's LISCR FC.

Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, the Director of Competitions for the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), shared this news on Wednesday evening. He stated, "CAF has granted Southern Arena in Bo city another approval for the 2023-24 CAF Champions League first leg, second round preliminary match between Bo Rangers FC of Sierra Leone and CR Belouizdad of Algeria, scheduled for September 17, 2023."

The Sierra Leonean champions will play the return leg at the August 20, 1955, Stadium in Algiers.

In their previous encounter, the Chababists defeated Rangers by a score of 3-0 last year, with K. Aribi and C. Kedad scoring a brace to secure the Algerian club's victory.
