On August 29, 2023, the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Wang Qing, along with their delegation, conducted a visit to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Freetown.
The purpose of the meeting was to enhance and strengthen the relationship between the two nations. During the discussions, both parties engaged in productive talks regarding forthcoming development initiatives, including the commencement of three modest yet innovative projects.
Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to utilizing the District Development Coordination Committee (DDCC) as a practical mechanism for coordinating and overseeing development efforts. This approach aims to ensure the efficient delivery of services at both the local and district levels.
