"Sierra Leone's First Lady Criticizes Opposition Candidate in Provocative Speech"

Fatima Bio, the wife of the President of Sierra Leone and presidential candidate of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) for the upcoming June 24th, 2023 elections, has made controversial remarks targeting Samura Kamara, the presidential candidate of the main opposition All People's Congress (APC) party. These remarks were made during an SLPP campaign event held in Bonthe, Southern Sierra Leone.

Addressing the crowd, Fatima Bio began by praising President Bio for his significant efforts in women's development, claiming that most men lack the ability to make women feel valued. She further expressed her belief that some individuals carry a hateful mindset that prevents them from smiling and causes them to consistently say inappropriate things in public.

In reference to Samura Kamara, she highlighted an incident where he referred to himself as "His Excellency Samura Kamara," but she interpreted it differently, asserting that he should be called "His Excellency Agender for Love" based on what she saw on his campaign banner. Expressing her confusion, she emphasized her lack of understanding of the term "agender for love," particularly when it originates from a presidential candidate. She questioned whether it referred to love in the morning or love at night.

Furthermore, Fatima Bio expressed her disappointment, as she believed that Samura Kamara failed to address crucial issues such as providing food for the people, offering free quality education, empowering girls, constructing quality roads and bridges, and promoting inclusivity. In contrast, she commended President Bio for his efforts to bring politicians from other parties into the SLPP, highlighting his commitment to inclusivity.

In conclusion, Fatima Bio conveyed her skepticism regarding Samura Kamara's self-proclaimed title and expressed her intention to seek clarification about the meaning behind "agender for love," as it seemed irrelevant to the pressing concerns of the country.
