Education Minister David Sengeh Named Among 100 Most Impactful Change Makers in Africa


David Sengeh, the Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education and Chief Innovation Officer at the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation in Sierra Leone, has been recognized as one of this year's 100 Most Impactful Change Makers by the Humanitarian Awards Global. Alongside another Sierra Leonean, Ariana Oluwole, Sengeh joins a group of Africans celebrated for their passion to make a difference, challenge the status quo, and inspire the next generation of leaders on the continent.

Sengeh's contributions to Sierra Leone's Free Quality Education Program as Minister of Education have earned him acclaim, as has his work as a respected innovator and scientist, particularly in prosthetic limb technology.

Other luminaries on the list include Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former President of Liberia, South African entrepreneur Vusi Thembekwayo, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Congolese women's rights activist Chouchou Namegabe, and Nigerian environmentalist Fatima Mohammed Habib.
