"Two suspects arrested in connection with missing FBC lecturer Kabba Santigie Bangura"

The Sierra Leone Police have made two arrests in connection to the disappearance of Kabba Santigie Bangura, a lecturer at Fourah Bay College (FBC).

According to a report by the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), the arrests were made as part of a covert operation. The police investigation revealed that before Bangura went missing, he had been in repeated communication with two individuals: Abu Fullah, who resides in Songo Village, and Saidu Sesay, who lives on Main Motor Road in Lumpa, Waterloo.

The suspects were identified by the police Cyber Unit in Waterloo as contacts of the people Mr. Bangura communicated with before his disappearance. The content of the conversations between Bangura and the two suspects has not been disclosed by the police.

Bangura was a Geography lecturer at FBC and was reported missing on March 6, 2023, after his family members reported the matter to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters in Freetown.
