On Thursday, April 6th, 023, Edward Shaw was arrested by a group of police officers from the Harbour Police Division. The officers discovered dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa at No.2 Horse Road Ferry Junction in Shaw's possession. The patrol group, assigned by the LUC of Harbour Police Division CSP Emmanuel S. Kpulun, was tasked with patrolling on foot within the East end of Freetown, specifically in areas such as Peace Market, Ferry Junction, Black Hall Road, Moyeba, Kissy Brook, and Kamanda Farm.
Upon receiving intelligence, ASP Mohamed Koroma led the group to execute a search warrant at Shaw's premises at Ferry Junction. During the search, the officers found three plastic bags containing several dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa and the sum of six hundred and sixty-three leones (NLe663.00) believed to be the proceeds of the suspected cannabis sativa.

As of now, Edward Shaw is in police custody, assisting with the investigation. The suspected cannabis sativa and the money are being treated as evidence.
