Commencing today, eligible voters will begin the process of collecting their ID cards ahead of the upcoming elections. The Electoral Commission has announced that the exercise will last for nine days, ending on Sunday, 16th April.

Citizens need to collect their voter ID cards in order to exercise their right to vote peacefully. With multi-tier elections scheduled for June 24th, political analysts predict a competitive race between the ruling SLPP and the main opposition APC.

“Registration Centres become Polling Centres on Election Day, so register at a centre in a Ward where you are ordinarily resident,” the ECSL said.
