Mustapha Koroma, a Customer Service Officer at Ecobank, has been charged with 53 counts of embezzlement at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No.1, presided over by Magistrate Mark Ngegba.
The charges against him relate to allegations of embezzlement of over Le200 million from multiple customers, which is contrary to the Larceny Act of 1916.
The Particulars of Offence show that Mustapha Koroma is accused of fraudulently embezzling different amounts on different dates from various customers, including Hamzatu Isatu Fofanah, Mohamed Mansaray, Mabinty Koroma, and others.
The accused has been remanded in custody, and the case has been adjourned to April 18. The prosecution is being led by ASP Ibrahim Mansaray.
