Sierra Leone and Egypt Discuss Enhancing Military Cooperation

In an endeavour to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration between their respective armed forces, Egypt and Sierra Leone recently convened their inaugural military cooperation committee session in Cairo, Egypt.

As part of the proceedings of this committee meeting, Muana Brima Massaquoi, Sierra Leone's Deputy Minister of Defence, who is currently on an official visit to Egypt, held discussions with Egypt's Chief of Staff, Osama Askar.

During their meeting, Massaquoi underscored the longstanding ties between Egypt and Sierra Leone and commended Egypt's dedication to promoting security and stability across Africa. This information was conveyed in a statement released by the Egyptian Military Spokesman, Gharib Abdel Hafez, on Thursday.

The event was attended by several high-ranking military officials from both nations.
