Justice Aiah Simeon Allieu, a High Court Judge, has exonerated and freed six individuals who stood trial for election-related offences. The police had implicated Moses Bangura, Osman Koroma, Mohamed Kamara, and three others in connection with election-related transgressions.
These five individuals were apprehended in Freetown on allegations of creating counterfeit voter registration cards during the 2023 multitier election. Subsequent to a thorough investigation, all six suspects were brought before the High Court to answer charges of forgery. During their court appearances, the accused individuals maintained their innocence.
Ultimately, Justice Allieu acquitted and discharged all six defendants at the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
