Former FC Johansen wingback, Ballie Kamara, is on the brink of joining FC BEA Mountain, a team in the Orange National First Division. Kamara, who also showcases his skills in the midfield, is said to be under the ownership of FREDO FC. His prominence in Sierra Leonean football began during his tenure with Kallon Football Club.
Kamara played a pivotal role as a wingback for FC Johansen throughout the recently concluded 2022/2023 season of the Sierra Leone Premier League. In the 2023 edition of the Sierra Leone Premier League, he made a significant contribution by successfully converting a crucial penalty, propelling relegation-threatened FC Johansen to a 1-0 victory over Diamond Stars. This intense showdown took place at the Trade Centre field in Freetown during the afternoon.
Despite FC Johansen's unfortunate relegation, Kamara will be fondly recalled for his adept penalty execution during the 90+4’ minute, deep into the added time, against Diamond Stars. This feat secured a triumphant outcome, earning his team three valuable points and enhancing their challenging efforts to avert an unprecedented demotion from the Sierra Leone Premier League.
