Magistrate Abu Bakarr Bangura of the Waterloo Magistrate Court has ordered the detention of 52 individuals on charges related to the consumption of a certain substance, commonly referred to as Kush. These charges are in violation of section 48(1) of the Pharmacy and Drugs Act of 2001.
These individuals were discovered in possession of both Kush and Jamba and were found in a location specifically employed for the purpose of consuming these substances within a particular settlement situated in Waterloo.
Given the perceived negative impact of Kush consumption on the younger generation within the nation, various individuals and organizations have been actively proposing strategies to address this issue. A range of suggestions has emerged, encompassing not only stringent legal actions against sellers, but also initiatives to identify and dismantle establishments and areas associated with the sale of these substances.
