During a recent gathering of esteemed former African Presidents, Ernest Bai Koroma, the Former President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, expressed his resolute commitment to the advancement of democracy in Africa. The occasion, known as the Africa Drive for Democracy Conference and Elder's Retreat, brought together prominent former heads of state from various countries across the continent.
Koroma extended his heartfelt appreciation to H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for presiding over the event. Additionally, he called upon current leaders to unite their efforts in the ongoing endeavours to strengthen democracy in Africa. Recognizing the profound significance of unity among leaders, Koroma emphasized the imperative for them to collaborate for the betterment of the people who have entrusted them with their respective positions.
He underscored that this unity would serve as a catalyst for substantial advancements in democracy across the African continent, urging both former and current leaders to stand united in their pursuit of continental unification.
