FC Kallon Fined for Forfeiting Match: Sierra Leone Premier League Disciplinary Decision

The Sierra Leone Football Association Premier League Disciplinary and Protests Committee has imposed a fine of NL10,000 on FC Kallon for showing contempt towards the Committee. This contempt arises from FC Kallon's refusal to participate in a replay match against Wilberforce Strikers on 18th July 2023.

On 11th July 2023, the Committee received the Referee's report regarding the scheduled match, which was supposed to take place at the Attouga Mini Stadium on 18th July 2023. According to the Referee's account, FC Kallon failed to appear for the match. The Referee and officials waited until 17:15 before eventually leaving the field due to the team's absence.

In response to FC Kallon's failure to honour the match, the Committee made the decision to forfeit the match in favor of Wilberforce Strikers, awarding them 3 points and 3 goals, in accordance with "Law 4. Article 24." Specifically, "Article 24.1 (g)" states that a team that fails to report for or honor a match without just cause shall forfeit the match.

Furthermore, FC Kallon has been directed to pay the imposed fine to the Sierra Leone Premier League Board account, which is held at Commerce and Mortgage Bank, PLC.
