Thesis statement  " the essence or impacts of entrepreneurship towards students employment".

Introduction..

"The Times Are Changing" vibrates with new meaning as far as relates to jobs for young graduates in Sierra Leone. Every time I hear of a University congregation, the first thought that strikes me is the fact that we will have another set of thousands of young people who will join the long queue in the job market. Negative perhaps, but realistic. It has been so for years and it gets worse as time progresses.

It's with these words of the Author and then NGC running mate Engineer Andrew Keili, I would like to open my speech with.

However, before I may get started proper.
I would like to acknowledge the presence of all dignitaries, scholarly new intellectuals and noble invitees here today, I greet you all.

To start,

My thesis statement is " the essence or impacts of entrepreneurship towards students employment".

Starting with some of the key words in my topic "entrepreneurship" is the activity of setting up a business or businesses, taking on its financial risks in the hope of profit. It's also a process of identifying a problem in a particular field and bringing up innovative ways to curb it for the people or society.

Entrepreneurs are inventors, problem solvers, businessmen and employers. They are hard working, persistent and rich people.

Employment in an other hand, is most generally means the state of having a paid job—of being employed. To employ someone is to pay them to work.

It's undoubtedly, that entrepreneurship has had a positive impact on employment. By creating their own businesses, entrepreneurs have created millions of jobs across the globe. This not only helps to reduce unemployment but also helps to stimulate the economy by creating new businesses and products. In addition, entrepreneurship can help to create new opportunities for workers, especially those who may be struggling to find employment. By starting their own businesses, these workers can become their own bosses and have more control over their own lives. Overall, entrepreneurship has had a positive impact on employment, and this trend is likely to continue in the years to come.

Entrepreneurship is a key driver of employment growth and innovation. By creating their own businesses, entrepreneurs are responsible for the majority of net new job creation globally. They also play a critical role in the economy by spawning new industries and products, and by bringing new ideas to market. In addition, entrepreneurship creates opportunities for workers to start their own businesses, which can lead to greater job security and income growth.

Entrepreneurship is an Engine of Economic Growth

A recent study by the Kauffman Foundation found that entrepreneurship is a key driver of employment growth and economic security.
This is particularly true in today's rapidly changing economy. As technologies and markets evolve, new businesses are often the first to adapt and seize the opportunities created by these changes.

In developed countries, entrepreneurship is seen as a key driver of employment. It creates new job opportunities and allows experienced workers to transfer their skills to new businesses. As a result, entrepreneurship is an important factor in job creation and in helping to improve economic situations.

  Moreover, moving forward

As a student or a new graduate, your first job can also help to build the confidence required to launch an entrepreneurial activity, and overcome the fear of failure. The confidence that comes from seeing first-hand how a business operates, or identifying an opportunity can help to counterbalance the perception of risk that often dampens entrepreneurial appetite.
Also, a first job provides the opportunity to develop essential skills required to succeed as an entrepreneur, including collaboration, communication, and innovative and critical thinking. As an employee, young professionals learn how to set and meet deadlines, and hold themselves, and their teammates, accountable. Testing these skills as an employee can help potential founders to adopt a more mature and empathetic management style as they select and grow teams. Employment exposes potential entrepreneurs to industry standards, familiarizes them with business practices, and enables them to develop both the hard and soft skills that prepare them for success. If we want to catalyze entrepreneurship in Sierra Leone, we need to acknowledge the role that first jobs play in paving the path for emerging entrepreneurs.

In an other hand as well, if students have gained the required Entrepreneurial skills like: Problem solving techniques, good communication, collaboration and team work, innovative and critical thinking.
They can be able to use those skills as a weapon or advantage to gain employment and be ahead of others in the job market or working places.

Looking at a research conducted in Pennsylvania (USA) by Angela Duckworth states that " attaining high grades or being intelligent in class is not a certainty of gaining employment after university. But, consistent passion and sustained persistence towards achieving a goal will help being employed.

It is not like I  want to dampen, the enthusiasm of our new graduates. congratulations in your academic achievement I say.

Finally, as I sum up my speech. I want every graduate to know that, it's apparent and factual that a degree certificate can open doors, but without knowledge and acquiring the right demanding skills of the job market it would not be easy for you to be employed.
In lieu of the aforementioned, I beseech you all to embrace entrepreneurship as it is certain that it is the only way to extinguish or reduce unemployment not only in Sierra Leone but globally.
