In a recent press release, the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) notified Freetown residents that they will experience a power outage on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
This temporary power interruption is necessary for the repair and maintenance of faulty 161/11kV circuit breakers at Kingtom Power House.
The purpose of this activity is to replace faulty circuit breakers to improve operational flexibility, which will significantly reduce system downtime and prevent technical interruptions.
EDSA regrets any inconvenience this may cause to its valued customers and assures them of a reliable and sustainable power supply once the preventive maintenance is completed.
