Ann-Marie Harding was Appointed as Acting Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources in Sierra Leone following Timothy Kabba’s Accident
Sierra Leonean President, Julius Maada Bio, has appointed Ann-Marie Harding as the Acting Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources. Harding assumed the position after Timothy Kabba, the substantive minister, was involved in a car accident weeks ago that left him with multiple broken bones.
Kabba's car was allegedly attacked, leading to speculation of an assassination attempt amid pending mineral deals. Kabba is currently receiving treatment in Germany and there is no word on when he will return to the office. Harding was the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources before her recent appointment.
