      1. Students are ineligible (except for Ph.D. candidates)
    1. Curator Residency Program:
      • Resides outside of Japan
    1. 3 years or more of experience in their specialized area
    1. Sufficient English communication skills
    1. Duo applications are ineligible
    1. Students are ineligible (except for Ph.D. candidates)
    1. Research Residency Program:
      • Targets both international and local creators
    1. Focuses on research in arts and culture in Tokyo
    1. Applicants need a strong research proposal
    1. Students are generally ineligible, except Ph.D. candidates
