Sierra Leone's leader, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, has designated Dr. Juliana Mariama Vangahun to assume the role of Rice Specialist within the Presidential Initiative for Climate Change, Renewable Energy, and Food Security.
This decision aligns with President Bio's comprehensive strategy, known as the "Big Five" initiative, which primarily emphasises advancing the agricultural sector. The commencement of this appointment will be determined by Dr. Vangahun's initiation of official duties.
The chosen candidate, Dr. Vangahun, possesses Plant Breeder and Research Scientist expertise. Her roots trace back to Nongowa, a notable ancestral abode in Sierra Leone.
