The U-19 Cricket team from Sierra Leone has arrived in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, in preparation for an exciting eight-day Division 1 World Cup Tournament. Led by Head Coach Kenneth Masinga and accompanied by the team manager, the squad consists of 14 talented players.
Before reaching their destination, the Sierra Leonean team made a brief stop in Accra to ensure a smooth journey to the East African nation. The Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) strategically planned this early departure to allow the players to acclimatize to the Tanzanian weather and familiarize themselves with the playing conditions.
During the tournament, Sierra Leone will face formidable opponents, including Kenya, Nigeria, Namibia, Uganda, and the host nation, Tanzania. The matches promise to be captivating and fiercely contested, as each team vies for victory.
