The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Fatima Bio, has issued a challenge to the main opposition party, the APC, urging them to substantiate their claim that President Bio did not win the election. She stressed that the SLPP emerged victorious in the June 24th elections through a transparent, credible, and equitable process overseen by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL). Additionally, she suggested that if APC members have confidence in their allegations about the election's lack of credibility, they should present their evidence before the judiciary, which, she noted, was passed on from the APC to the SLPP.
Her statement states: It is perplexing to comprehend the motives of the APC in Sierra Leone. If you genuinely believe that the election lacks credibility, kindly provide your evidence to the judiciary, which you entrusted to the SLPP. How can you distrust your own creation? Please present your evidence."
