Collaborative Engagement between SLRCS DREF Team and Sierra Leone Police Force for Enhanced Emergency Response

In a remarkable demonstration of collaboration and shared goals, the SLRCS DREF Team and over 150 officers from the Sierra Leone Police Force joined together for a highly productive event.

This event took place at the Law Enforcement Academy, previously known as the Police Training School, situated in Hastings, Freetown.

The main objective of this gathering was to provide the participating officers with a comprehensive understanding of the significance of the Red Cross and Red Crescent emblems, International Humanitarian Laws, and the fundamental principles that form the foundation of the Red Cross Movement.

By equipping the police officers with this essential knowledge, the SLRCS DREF Team aims to establish a safer environment for its staff and volunteers during various interventions and crisis scenarios. The event emphasized the significance of cooperation and effective communication between the police force and the SLRCS, ultimately resulting in a more professional and efficient response when confronted with emergencies.
