Members of Parliament (MPs) from Sierra Leone's primary opposition party, the All People's Congress (APC), have chosen not to attend the opening and induction ceremony for the 6th parliament in order to express their disagreement with the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) and its announced results on June 24th.
Following the announcement of the presidential election results, a document containing the signatures of APC MPs, mayors, and chairpersons has emerged. It is worth noting that the MPs who have signed the document are reportedly absent from the ceremony.
