Mikel Arteta reveals what Arsenal must do to compete with Manchester City

Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, acknowledges that his team must raise their level of play in order to compete with current Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Following their 4-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola's team last week, the Gunners have knocked off the top spot in the league, which was then taken by Manchester City after their 2-1 victory against Fulham on Sunday.

Arteta has emphasized the importance of being able to play at a higher level on a given day to compete with top teams such as Manchester City and Liverpool. He acknowledged that his team failed to do so in their recent game against City.

Despite this setback, Arsenal still have a chance to reach their highest Premier League points total of 90, but they must win their remaining five games. Arteta understands that building a successful team takes time and making the right decisions, but he also acknowledges that copying other teams' methods is not the solution.

Arsenal's next game against Chelsea at the Emirates is crucial to their title hopes, as they currently trail Manchester City by a point, with the latter also having a game in hand.
