Luawa FC CEO encourages ownership of football club in Kailahun District, Sierra Leone.

Dr Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esquire, the CEO of Luawa FC, has encouraged the people of Kailahun District in Eastern Sierra Leone to take complete responsibility for their football club. Luawa FC's senior team presently competes in the country's top-tier league and recently won a match against Wusum Stars FC with a 1-0 victory. During an online interview with a local radio station before the match, Dr Abdulai urged the people of Kailahun to take ownership of the club, emphasizing the importance of Luawa FC's academy in providing a pathway for grassroots football in the district. He hopes that the club's success will inspire more players from Kailahun to break barriers in education and professional football representation. However, Dr Abdulai also highlighted that hosting every match is costly, and he appealed to all natives of Kailahun to take executive positions or serve on the Board of Directors to help achieve bigger dreams for the district.
