The 6th edition of the Committee of the Fifty Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Awards has finalized its list of honorees. Originally featuring 100 women from across Sierra Leone, the committee has now narrowed it down to the top 50 finalists.
This award is a project of youth and women-led organizations and recognizes exceptional women from all backgrounds who are making significant contributions to the community and national development in Sierra Leone.
The award ceremony will take place at the Freetown City Hall and will include the participation of Paramount Chiefs, who will be honoring the recipients for the first time. Additionally, there will be a special prayer held in memory of Henrietta Mbawah, one of the nominees who passed away after being nominated for the award.
