Ismail Rappish Bah, Boss La's elder brother, was released from prison on April 26th, 2023, after completing his sentence. In June 2022, he was convicted by Magistrate Marke Ngegba of two counts of riotous conduct and disorderly behavior, resulting in a 36-month prison term. Along with Rappish Bah, Makanaki, who was also detained for the same incident, was released.
On June 15th, 2022, Ismail Bah and several others were arrested while visiting Boss La in prison due to rumors that his dreadlocks had been forcibly cut off and injected with a red substance.
