Dr. Samura Kamara, the presidential candidate of Sierra Leone's All People's Congress (APC), has pledged to govern the country as one unified nation, ensuring fairness for all ethnic groups and regions. Speaking at a gathering in Kabaya, Kambia district, Kamara expressed concern about the divisive nature of politics in the country and vowed to pursue a national approach to all government development programs and projects.
Kamara stressed that every community in Sierra Leone has the right to basic social amenities, such as good schools, roads, health facilities, and social services, and that these services are not a privilege but a citizen's right. He encouraged people to choose their leader wisely and emphasized that a leader should be open to constructive criticism and dialogue.
Kamara's leadership, he said, would be guided by his faith and a commitment to serve the people of Sierra Leone, and he promised to protect citizens rather than harass them. He added that he had come to Kabaya to understand the immediate and long-term needs of the people of Kambia and that he knew the importance of fixing the Mambolo to Kabaya road and extending it to neighboring Guinea.
