APC Urges Voters to Turn Out En Masse for Rerun Polls in Zamfara State, Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged voters to remain calm ahead of the Zamfara Central, Gusau/Tsafe and Bukkuyum/Gummi federal constituencies rerun polls on Saturday. In a statement released on Thursday, Malam Yusuf Idris, the state APC Publicity Secretary, called on the electorate to turn out en masse and vote for APC candidates in the rerun.

Idris also commended the people of Zamfara, especially APC members, for being law-abiding and appealed to them to vote massively for the success of APC candidates in the poll.

Idris expressed sadness over the destruction of property following the hijack of PDP celebrations by hoodlums after its victory in the March 18 governorship election.

He stated that property worth millions of naira were destroyed and stolen by hoodlums at APC offices and private houses of APC members in the state capital, Gusau. Idris appealed to the police and other security agencies to maintain law and order before, during, and after the rerun, as a law-abiding party.
